Profile

Creations, jewels and nature make up the world of Caroline Arbour, jeweler. Born in Bonaventure, Gaspesia, she has now been living for many years in the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region in Amos.

Before receiving her diploma in jewellery in 1999, she worked six years as a jeweller and watch-maker in Quebec city. She then settled in Amos where she founded her enterprise in 2004. Her brand name SCARO was registered in 2007 with the Office of intellectual property of Canada.

Caroline is present each year at the prestigious « Salon des métiers d’art du Québec » in Montreal, and also at various annual regional expositions.

Recipient of the Telebec prize from the « Conseil de la culture de l’Abitibi- Témiscamingue »  and the Gala Elite prize from the « Chambre de commerce d’Amos-Région » in 2006, she dreams one day of expositions in Europe with the most famous jewellers of  our age.

Creating a jewel is for Caroline a second nature and that is why she really never leaves her studio. With an exuberant imagination she continually creates new selections.

Largely inspired by nature, she honors through her works the most amazing creation : Life. Beetles fascinate her and it is with vigour and passion that she shapes and immortalizes them.

Human contacts inspire Caroline in the creation of personalized jewels. It is for her a challenge and a necessity. She expresses with refinement the unique character of her creations with the tastes, wishes and the lifestyles of her clients. Personal contacts are important to stimulate her ideas for specific jewels. So she likes to be present when she exposes her works and to meet her clients. She wants to capture the feelings and reactions of people admiring her creations. These unforgettable moments are her source of inspiration for the rest of the year, alone in her studio.

May it be for her own collections or in the creation of personalized jewels, she considers her profession as a way to express herself, make people happy, and enjoy moments of perfect harmony, mixing techniques, textures, colors and forms, to create the exact image of the perceived emotions.
