Two forces in balance. One light.
This name represents the moment when day and night are of equal length. It thus symbolizes balance, complementarity, and equality between two different forces, with neither dominating the other.
My designs have always been about contrasts and duality.
I am a sensitive woman with the tough exterior of a warrior. I love the delicacy of lace just as much as the strength of metal, poetry just as much as rock music, and the organic just as much as the raw. My journey as a woman, an artist, and an entrepreneur has taught me that gentleness and power are not opposites: they can coexist, complement each other, and become a source of strength.
It was from this conviction that this piece of jewelry was created to benefit Centraide ATNQ and Women in Mining Abitibi Témiscamingue.
Its two sides represent different yet complementary worlds. One features a more delicate and organic texture, traditionally associated with the feminine. The other has a rougher, more structured character, associated with the masculine. However, neither side is more important than the other: they share the same dimensions, the same value, and are part of a single piece of jewelry.
Because equality isn’t about erasing our differences, but about giving them equal standing, equal respect, and equal opportunities.
I chose to support Centraide ATNQ because inclusion begins in our own community. It comes to life when we reach out to people affected by poverty, isolation, or exclusion and help them regain their strength, dignity, and sense of belonging.
I also chose Women in Mining because women must be able to take their rightful place in the mining industry, exercise leadership, make their voices heard, and have the same opportunities as men.
Thus, 75% of the proceeds will be donated to Centraide ATNQ and 25% to Women in Mining Abitibi Témiscamingue. This split does not reflect the relative importance of the two causes. Rather, it brings together two complementary forms of inclusion: social inclusion in our community and the inclusion of women in an industry that is essential to our region.
Wearing this piece of jewelry means wearing more than just a SCARO creation. It means affirming that every person has equal value and that our differences, when recognized and brought together, can become a true collective strength.
Centraide ATNQ mobilizes donors, businesses, volunteers, and community organizations to fight poverty and social exclusion. The organization channels donations where the need is greatest to support youth and families, improve living conditions, promote social inclusion, and strengthen the community fabric.
In a nutshell: Centraide ATNQ brings together the strengths of our region to break the cycle of poverty and social isolation and build communities that are more just, inclusive, and supportive.
Women in Mining Abitibi Témiscamingue works to make the mining sector more accessible, diverse, and inclusive. Through advocacy, networking, mentoring, and awareness-raising, the organization encourages women to consider careers in the mining industry and supports their professional development as well as their access to leadership positions.
In a nutshell: WIM paves the way for women in the mining sector so they can take their rightful place, develop their potential, and benefit from the same opportunities for advancement.
Delivery times for this jewelry range from 2 weeks to 3 months, depending on the quantity.
