Fashion Blogging at a Glance – It’s a Lot of Work!
Entirely run by fashionistas, foodies and event-goers, the blogger profession is little-known but it is everywhere around us. Some do it sporadically and find the time to document their outings between their day job and their hobbies.
Others such as the ones I am about to introduce you are living a life full of charity events, store openings, new collections launches, new restaurants, testing of new products, spa visits, tourist attractions, and also aim to discover new brands like mine!
Over the years, I obviously had my favorites because of their personality, their genuine character, their wonderful and convincing texts, their unique and contagious style, and their frankness.
Here they are:
During my first media event in Montreal, I have met two amazing women.
From the Par Josianne blog, Josianne Isabel has become a friend. Passionate about the art of table, she knows how to share her favorite products and her encounters through her blog. As a great traveler, she shows us spas, hotels, skincare products, jewellery made by Quebec creators, restaurants, and each Saturday morning, we can share a cup of tea with her through her blog while she makes suggestions and shares her discoveries. She is very productive and an excellent event planner. Josianne knows everybody and they all love her! When I go out with her, I am guaranteed to have a good time. Her Instagram will make your mouth water or make you want to escape on a getaway in Québec or somewhere else! A true joy and a friendship crush for sure!
The second but not the least is Gérardine Jeune from the blog. At first, I was really impressed. As an assumed, fabulous-looking lady, Miss Geri is a true representation of the strong and sublime woman. Her pictures are to die for! Through a series of meetings, when we read her, we become enchanted by this dynamic, genuine, refreshing woman who sets her own standards and who does some good around her! She has written articles for fashion magazines Elle Québec. Her Instagram looks fantastic!
Following a second VIP event, organized by, among others, Josianne Isabel at the Club Universitaire, I met Lolitta Dandoy from the blog Fashion is everywhere. Lolitta is a blogger and an influencer who is well-respected in the industry. She writes for Le Journal de Montréal, among others, and used to be the spokesperson/ambassador for the Mode&Fashion festival.
Her looks are beautiful, creative, and unique and her style is absolutely perfect! Go see her Instagram! It really is worth it!
Recently, during the night of the opening of Maison Birks’ newly renovated flagship store, I have met Carrie MacPherson from the blog eatdrinkbecarrie, who also writes for Mariage Québec. I have really appreciated her genuine character, her professionalism, and her attitude. Her path is really interesting, and she is fun to follow on Instagram.
There are some others that I do not know very well, but whom I follow on Instagram, like Julian Mateian, Consciousnchic, Versepasi, Virginie Pichet, Caroline Chagnon, Chloé Dumont, Catherine de Pearlscaramel, Katia N de Bewolffashion, Camille Dg, Bibouzi, Anik Lacasse, Joelle Paquette de Veryjoelle, Caroline Élie et Gabrielle Lacasse de dentellefleurs, aablais, Lapiz_of_luxury, Bohoandbraidsblog…
It is a special world that requires a lot of attention and professionalism. Those who succeed also work very hard, all the time. I have a lot of respect for this special profession which never fails to surprise me!
We are almost all the same age and we all share the same reality as self-employed workers – which means we are everywhere all at once!
